A research study on the feasibility of income generation schemes was conducted by PWN+ under the title GIPA project, funded by the UNDP in the year 2001:
PWN+ conducted a feasibility study in three districts in Tamil Nadu – Namakkal, Erode, and Chennai for facilitating income generation programmes. |

Research study on ‘Socio-economic impact of HIV / AIDS on the individual and the family’, with NMP+, Maharashtra – Funded by International Labour Organization, NewDelhi (2002-2003):
The study was conducted along with NMP+, Maharashtra. PWN+ conducted the study among people living with HIV in three districts in TamilNadu, namely Chennai, Erode and Namakkal. Interviews and focussed group discussions were conducted. This study was done to assess the impact of employer support on people living with HIV. The study results would be disseminated among industries, and the corporate sector to sensitize them on issues of people living with HIV.
Docmentation of human rights violations of women living with HIV, with CFAR [Centre for Advocacy and Research] – Funded by UNIFEM, NewDelhi (2003):
A research study was conducted in the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala for the purpose of documenting human rights violations of women living with HIV. The research was done among women living with HIV, key personnel in the field of HIV, key role players in the society, and a general awareness survey was conducted among a cross section of the public. Case studies, focussed group discussions, and informed interviews were conducted. Women living with HIV from the networks, with support from CFAR staff undertook this research
